Rachel Beechinor

Rachel Beechinor joined Vancity Investment Management in January 2023 as an ESG Analyst, bringing nearly 3 years of experience in the responsible investment industry to the team. In her role, Rachel analyzes the ESG performance of publicly traded companies and performs shareholder engagements. Prior to Vancity, Rachel worked as an Investment Analyst in the Responsible Investment team at Ardevora Asset Management, a UK-based asset management firm. Rachel holds a BSc in Management and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Originally from Vancouver, Rachel moved to the UK to complete her undergraduate degree at the London School of Economics. Following graduation, Rachel worked in the UK before returning to Vancouver and joining the Vancity Investment Management team.

Rachel first became aware of Vancity through numerous ESG investor networks. She was impressed by the team’s shareholder engagement initiatives and sought us out as her first-choice employer when she was looking to move back to Vancouver.

Rachel is passionate about nature and spends her free time exploring the outdoors and gardening. Her passion for the environment, as well as social issues, closely aligns with Vancity’s values. Rachel entered the ESG space because she wanted to create real world change, and she is very happy to work for an organization that prides itself in being a financial force for change.
